Mysterious Sranger

A friend of mine had this on his Myspace page and I just thought it was too awsome not to steal for my own blog.

Sh*t, Shower, & Save

Here's how:
Place a wash basin under tub when adjusting water temperature for your shower. Then dump water directly into toilet and watch the flush happen w/o pressing the lever. That’s right; you just saved 6+ gallons of water. The water that normal flows uselessly down the tub drain has provided a free flush for your toilet. The wars of the future will be fought over and for water, so give a hoot and postpone the inevitable a bit longer.

Insane Oklahoma Cowboy

Overcompensating is a just plain fun comic. I cannot even begin to describe the depth of creativity and random references to pop cultural phenomena. It flows without flowing; with no discernable plot it keeps moving in what appears to be a direction. Characters continually change outfits and occasionally realities. Best story line Chaupacabra at http://www.overcompensating.com/ And sometimes it really makes you think.

Insane Oklahoma Cowboy?

A squirrel flipping the bird, often I've wondered.

Fun with Brains

I like to think of Rocket Boom as the “English” Daily Show. It Provides information deemed “Un-News worthy” by the regular media. However the stories are interesting and often useful in understanding our brave new world.

Silly Natives

Stranded on the coast of Jamaica, the explorers were running out of food and faced with increasingly hostile local inhabitants who were refusing to provide them with any more supplies.

Columbus, looking at an astronomical almanac compiled by a German mathematician, realised that a total eclipse of the Moon would occur on February 29, 1504.

He called the native leaders and warned them if they did not cooperate, he would make the Moon disappear from the sky the following night.

The warning, of course, came true, prompting the terrified people to beg Columbus to restore the Moon -- which he did, in return for as much food as his men needed. He and the crew were rescued on June 29, 1504.

A good youtube idea

Place mentos in diet coke, flip into clogged drain. Place video of experiment on youtube. For better results screw a plunger on the end of the bottle to ensure all pressure is focused on purging the clog from your drain. Another method for unclogging a drain is at this site. http://www.hashielldammett.com/?p=16 I think my has much more potential for fun.

Ferd'nand

Ferd’nand always impresses me with how they speak without words in every strip. In this case though I was more interested in Ferd’nand’s ice fishing contraption. More often than not it is the creative approach to problem solving used by Ferd’nand that make this worth reading on a daily basis. Can't help but wonder about frozen human sticks being aquired by industrious fish who become aware of Ferd'nand's plight and take out the floor from beneath him. I keep my fish under constant surveillance with this in mind.

Genetically Modified Farmers

Genetically modified plants and livestock that has been shot up with more steroids than a professional athlete. Yummy!
I like this strip (Cow and Boy) for the subtle way it approaches controversial issues. The madness of the world is treated as completely normal in this comic which makes the eccentricities of the family all the more enjoyable. This comic seamlessly weaves philosophy and politics into the fabric of an all American Midwestern farming families day to day life. It’s not about the art, it’s the dialog that makes this a rather edgy and interesting read. Plus I love the grin on his fathers face while preparing to dope the cow.
