Place mentos in diet coke, flip into clogged drain. Place video of experiment on youtube. For better results screw a plunger on the end of the bottle to ensure all pressure is focused on purging the clog from your drain. Ferd'nand

Ferd’nand always impresses me with how they speak without words in every strip. In this case though I was more interested in Ferd’nand’s ice fishing contraption. More often than not it is the creative approach to problem solving used by Ferd’nand that make this worth reading on a daily basis. Can't help but wonder about frozen human sticks being aquired by industrious fish who become aware of Ferd'nand's plight and take out the floor from beneath him. I keep my fish under constant surveillance with this in mind.

Genetically modified plants and livestock that has been shot up with more steroids than a professional athlete. Yummy!

I like this strip (Cow and Boy) for the subtle way it approaches controversial issues. The madness of the world is treated as completely normal in this comic which makes the eccentricities of the family all the more enjoyable. This comic seamlessly weaves philosophy and politics into the fabric of an all American Midwestern farming families day to day life. It’s not about the art, it’s the dialog that makes this a rather edgy and interesting read. Plus I love the grin on his fathers face while preparing to dope the cow. The Virus Known as Man

"In a sense, the Earth is mounting an immune response against the human species. It is beginning to react to the human parasite, the flooding infections of people, the dead spots of concrete all over the planet, the cancerous rot-outs in Europe, Japan, and the United States, thick with replicating primates, the colonies enlarging and spreading and threatening to shock the biosphere with mass extinctions. Perhaps the biosphere does not “like” the idea of five billion humans. Or it could also be said that the extreme amplification of the human race, which has occurred only in the past hundred years or so, has suddenly produced a very large quantity of meat, which is sitting everywhere in the biosphere and may not be able to defend itself against a life form that might want to consume it. Nature has interesting ways of balancing itself. The rainforest has its own defense system, so to speak, has recognized the presence of the human species and is starting to kick in. The earth is attempting to rid itself of an infection by the human parasite. Perhaps AIDS is the first step in a natural process of clearance."
